Jane Lynch won her first Emmy Award 2010

Jane Lynch has won her first Emmy Award. The actress was previously nominated for her guest role on, Two and a Half Men, but Lynch took home her first statuette for her performance as cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester on Fox's Glee.

In her acceptance speech for the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy award, Linch thanked her "lord and creator Ryan Murphy" and her younger castmates.

Lynch wore a purple one-shouldered Ali Rahimi gown.

Touted as the evening's only sure thing in the acting categories, Jane Lynch's supporting actrress Emmy win for "Glee" was no less exciting when it went down.

After already being honored by Madam Tussauds with a special "Glee" wax statue earliesr this month, the actress has also been tapped to host " Saturday Night Live" in October. Nominated for an Emmy this year it is highly probable that she won't walk away empty handed.

At Chicago's Lollapalooza Lady Gaga graced their stage with an 18 song set, then she managed to loose some clothing and go over to another stage where Semi Precious Weapons was playing. Lady Gaga got up on stage and danced while they played, she also managed to make out with the singer of the band. Apparently Lady Gaga enjoys exposing herself in public.

The crowd began to maul until Gaga's security could pull her out. It seem that Lady Gaga will always find ways to surprise us. Not many photos were taken of the even but there are some exclusive up close photos of Lady Gaga's crowd surfing.

Wearing little more than fishnet stockings and strategic golden pasties, Gaga rocked out on drums before stage diving into the unsuspecting crowd and, to the dismay of her bodyguard, crowd surfing around for a bit.

Carol Burnett as Sue Sylvester's mother on TV show Glee

Entertainment Weekly reports that Ryan Murphy has indeed found an actress to portray Sue Sylvester's mother on his hit TV show Glee, and it's none other than comedy legend Carol Burnett.

The six-time Emmy winner will play the Nazi-hunting mom of Jane Lynch‘s character, Sue Sylvester.

Television comedy icon Carol Burnett will appear on an episode of FOX’s musical hit this fall, according to EW.com.

Also, Murphy revealed at the show's TV Critics Association panel this week that, in addition to his Glee duties, he's preparing a new musical series centered around Emmy winner (and Glee favorite) Kristin Chenoweth.

Ellen DeGeneres is out on "American Idol."

Fox Broadcasting Co. announced late Thursday that Ellen DeGeneres will leave her role as a judge on "American Idol," in what is likely to be the first of several changes aimed at rejuvenating the aging reality-TV series.

The comic-turned-sitcom-star-turned-daytime-talk- show-host started her new "Idol" judging career on the same day Simon came to Winter TV Press Tour 2010 to announce he was quitting the show.
