Salmonella Danger!

Hundreds of people have become sick from eating tainted eggs and one lawsuit has already been filled against the egg supplier.
The eggs recalled from the Wright Country Egg Farm in Galt, Lowa, are believed to have been distributed only to food service providers or restaurant in bulk. The recall of 380 million eggs nationwide is one of the largest shell egg recalls in recent history.

Wright County Egg, of Galt, Lowa, is expanding its voluntary recall of eggs produced by their farm because they may be contaminated with Salmonella.

State health officials began seeing a surge of salmonella cases in late May, although no Arizona cases have been definitely linked to the tainted eggs.

There have been confirmed Salmonella Enteritidis illnessses relating to the eggs and investigations are under way

Cooking eggs thoroughly kills the bacteria. Undercooked eggs or products like homemade salad dressing or mayonnaise that use raw eggs can spread the disease.
